One of the many things I am very much looking forward to doing with the fresh fruits and vegetables front the garden, is juicing them. Lisa and I have been juicing like crazy. The downside : our produce costs at Good Earth have gone way up. The upside : our compost bin has never looked more colorful. Oh and the other upside is we are feeling great!
One juice that we all loved the other day was
- 4 Beets
- 2 carrots
- 2 apples
- 1 kiwi
- 2 inches of ginger root
- the juice of 1 lemon
Now that our beds are built and our irrigation lines are in, I’m going to get some planting done. The beets and carrots will come from my own beds. The apples and lemon, from the communal trees (though it may take quite a while for those trees to produce fruit). The kiwi and ginger will probably still come from Good Earth.
